Video Mixer DirectShow Filter GraphEdit Usage

Below is a brief guide of how to use the Video Mixer DirectShow Filter with GraphEdit.

1. Create a graph with several video sources and Video Mixer DirectShow Filter.

1.1. Insert video capture devices (such as a web camera and a DV camcorder).

1.2. Render output video pins.

1.3. Remove video renderers.

1.4. Insert MediaLooks Video Mixer.

1.5. Connect video output pins to MediaLooks Video Mixer and render the Video Mixer's output pin.

1.6. Here's your resulting test graph.

1.7. Run graph.

2. Configure Video Mixer via the Property Page.

The Input group is used to configure input streams.

  • Enable checkbox enables or disables (hides) the currently selected Input.
  • Order field used for chnage stream Z-Order
  • Chroma Key used for specify chrom-key (RGB or HLS) for selected input stream

The Mixing Rects group is used to configure output mixing rects (blocks)

  • Add Rect for adding output video block from current video stream
  • Remove Rect for remove output video block
  • Change Rect (or Dbl-Click on rect list) for change video block properties (source rect, output position, transarency, angle (for 3D-Projection), custom mask)

The Backgound group is used to select background (none, solod color, or picture (BMP or JPG file))

The Scenes group is used for adding or slecting video 'scenes' (video blocks properties and arrangment)
