Filter Category

In DirectShow a filter can be located in one or several filter categories. See link at bottom of page for a list of standard DirectShow categories. These categories are displayed in GraphEdit when you select Insert Filters from the Graph menu or press Ctrl+F.
Any MediaLooks filter, in addition to its standard category, can always be found in the MediaLooks Filters category.
